Collections Process
Soft Collection Process
The Soft Collection Process consists of the following six (6) procedures:
- Telephonic payment arrangements (Call Campaigns)
- SMS and What's App messages sent to debtors (SMS Campaigns)
- Emails sent to debtors (Email Campaigns)
- Letters sent to debtors (Letter Campaigns)
- DebiCheck Debit Order against debtor's account
- Listing at TransUnion and CPB Credit Bureau
The Legal Process
Upon instruction from the client, legal action can be taken by means of Summons and Application for Judgement should the debtor fail to make a payment arrangement.
Please note that if legal proceedings are instituted, clients will be liable to pay all fees and disbursements as agreed upon between both parties.
Technical Infrastructure and Reporting
Van Rhyns Attorneys continuously invest in state-of-the-art technology that gives us the necessary flexibility and capability to execute workflow efficiently. This allows us to manage portfolios and improve productivity and performance standards effectively.
The firm makes use of a specialised debt collection management system called Excalibur. Excalibur is a collection management system with call centre and legal functionalities. The program was specially developed for high volumes of debt collection and the headaches that come with it.
